Dinosaurs In Platform Boots

1 Dec

Here’s another sketch from one of the local music bars. There’s a long history of music in Swansea and it seems to come and go in waves. When I was young – and dinosaurs roamed the earth (in platform boots) – there were LOADS of live music venues. Practically every night of the week. Then they slumped as the huge pub chains moved into the city and pushed out all the independence and originality. But music always comes back and there were more and more in the few years up until Covid19 descended on us in March 2020 and closed them all. But now they’re opening again. Great.

A Chance To Own One Of My Artworks

I have some small screenprints for sale, inspired by my drawings of the antique taxidermy collection at Swansea Museum. I have given these vintage artifacts a modern twist by combining them with images of rubbish – old fruit nets, bubble wrap and plastic – highlighting the problem of human pollution and how it affects wildlife.

To buy my work on the Swansea Print Workshop site please click the image to the left.

20 percent of the cost of each screenprint sold goes to support Swansea Print Workshop, which receives no public funding.
