The dreaded lurgi has abated and I’m on the mend, but really shattered and not feeling a bit creative and with a mountain of admin stuff to wade through that should have been getting done when I was ill. Exhibition season is coming up and I have to crack on and get stuff ready for Xmas shows. The trouble with being a skint artist is that you end up doing your own framing to keep costs down, but this eats into your creative time. Never mind, here’s the first little lot, going out to Oriel Ceri Richards gallery tomorrow, half a dozen etchings.

They look lovely 🙂 I have resorted to framing a lot myself too, since I started etching: was not a problem when I only painted as there weren’t really many paintings, but I can’t afford to pay for someone to frame my etchings… I have had a season of exhibitions already, and I spent about 3 months getting no creative work done at all (lot of gardening too, mind you…)
So glad to hear that other artists get bogged down in loads of admin too, phew!
You may be a skint artist but the poor people in the etchings can’t even afford clothes!
They suffer for my art 🙂
hurrah
🙂
Nice to hear you are better. Good luck with your exhibits
Thank you
