I started playing with the idea of “Angels” a few days ago, just scribbling away with a pen, brush and walnut ink to get some rough ideas onto paper. So today I started to work over them with white Liquitex ink and a fine brush, to see where it takes me. I don’t normally work like this, I prefer to draw from life, so dredging through my imagination is a bit odd for me.
I have an exhibition, “Carved Heads And Other Creatures”, part of MANIFEST at The Workers Gallery in Ynyshir. The show runs until October 31st. Open Saturdays 10.00 – 17.00, other times by appointment. Come and have a look if you’re in the are in the area.
