Quick And Smelly

Husb took me for lunch today – at our local chip shop cafe. Last of the big spenders! Anyway, we were just about the youngest people in there (and we’re middle aged) and I scribbled this eldely man while I waited for my battered fish and chips, with a diet coke- must watch the calories. I did the sketch in about a minute; that sort of timescale forces you to focus on what’s crucial.

It was a lovely evening so we went down the allotment for a spot of digging. I love digging. I get into the zone and meditate. I’ve been making comfrey tea liquid fertiliser and I doused my little leeks with it. It stinks and now I smell horrible. Luckily Husb has a cold.

  1. I love your quick scribble! wish I could do quick scribbles like that! I’m too embarrassed to practice in case someone sees and comes over and says what’s that?
Love how you’re having proper fish and chips with a diet coke, like that’s making all the difference and the batter is completely innocent lol! Made me chuckle and start craving some myself!
I’m wondering what comfrey tea fertiliser is. Why does it stink? I’m going to see if Mr Google will tell me 😉

    1. Fill a dustbin with water. Throw in as much fresh comfrey as you can grow. Put the lid on and let it steep for a few weeks. Put it into a watering can and water your plants with it. Alienate the rest of the human race with the small. You can also use nettles.
