Swansea Beach was pretty busy today with loads of walkers and dogs. The weather was fantastic, very bright and sunny with a crisp chill. There was a small group of people who seemed to be having a slow dance. It wasn’t slow enough to scribble so I took a photo and did a sketch from that, in graphite into my A5 Tate Gallery sketchbook.

I'm an artist / printmaker / scribbler. I love drawing and all the geeky stuff associated with printmaking, working in a figurative style. I live in Wales with husband and demented cats. And my real name is Rose Davies :D View more posts

So nicely captured; silhouetting the figures, along with those little reflections below them, are the winning touch. BTW, as I’ve been watching more and more Barclays Premiere League Football, I’ve been coming across the Swansea team more and more!
Thank you. Yes, the team’s doing very well at the moment. Brings some much needed money into the area. Unfortunately, a lot of the away teams’ fans don’t come and look at the beach, which is a pity.
Very soothing-a good emotion to evoke
Thank you 🙂
I really like this. It makes me feel calm. 🙂
Thank you. It was so nice to see them slowly dancing in their own world in the sunshine.
