We’re at that time of year when the old Welsh tradition of The Mari Lwyd / Y Fari Lwyd, is awakening from her slumbers ready for her night, Hen Galan, a month away early in the New Year. I’m going to post my archive Mari Lwyds throughout December and early January to get us all in the mood. Here’s one from 5 years ago which eventually became a Christmas / New Year card. Sometimes they look quite funny but this one seems sinister to me.

I'm an artist / printmaker / scribbler. I love drawing and all the geeky stuff associated with printmaking, working in a figurative style. I live in Wales with husband and demented cats. And my real name is Rose Davies :D View more posts
