Artist In Residency: Day 8 – Bigger Tools

I’m carving again at my artist residency in Swansea’s Urban HQ . I’ve cut 11 small blocks (10 x 15cms) and now I’m working slightly larger (15 x 15cms), still continuing with the portrait theme, they’ve all been developed from original sketches done at life-drawing group. Having a bigger block means that I can use larger cutting tools that I don’t get much chance to practice with. I’m using FlexCut tools and Strop.

If you’re visiting the city centre, please pop in and have a look and pick up a free postcard of my work. The dates and times of my residency are below. It would be lovely to see you.

I'm an artist / printmaker / scribbler. I love drawing and all the geeky stuff associated with printmaking, working in a figurative style. I live in Wales with husband and demented cats. And my real name is Rose Davies :D
