And it’s getting difficult to find titles for my Baby Boomer blogs now that I’ve reached number 83 – I think I’ve done every permutation on Baby Boomer that there is! I’m so loving doing these sketches and having conversations with my sitters, discourses that will eventually feed into the final work, which I hope will be on a HUGE scale. But that’s a while off yet.
There’s more of my art to be seen in my online Gallery in Artfinder, please click on the image below to take a look. Thank you.
I am so enjoying these sketches and appreciate your comments and observations. I see the beautiful young Japanese girls spending ages applying make-up every day on the way to work and yet their mothers and grandmothers are such strong and interesting women. It’s almost impossible to give up your seat on the bus to one of them. ‘Daijoubou desu!’ ‘I am fine they say’ and insist you sit back down. Those young women should learn from their elders.
How fascinating. It’s the same here, young women absolutely plastered in makeup and teetering on immense heels.
