Husb and I went to a gig at Elysium on Samhain a few days ago, a mixture of performers, folk and metal, with a pagan theme. When I go to gigs, I often draw legs in the audience and I did at this one. Then it occurred to me that everyone was wearing long trousers. When I go to metal and rock gigs, the majority of the audience, well men, wear short trousers – like the drawings I did below during Swansea Fringe last year.
So…can we tell pagan rock fans apart from heavy metal fans by the pants they wear? Is there a research grant in this?
