It’s #Caturday Saturday again and here’s another cat sketch from my sketchbook archives, February 2016. Sparta Puss looks quite relaxed here and she stayed fairly still for me to draw her. I have three linocut prints in the Miniprint Cymru Wales exhibition in Mostyn in Llandudno, North Wales, open until May 2nd. It includes one ofContinue reading “#Caturday Archives: 47”

It’s #Caturday Saturday again and here’s another cat sketch from my sketchbook archives, January 2016. This is a very quick sketch as she didn’t stay still for long when she was awake back in those days. She was a mere 7 years old then, this Autumn she’ll be 17. And still as feisty as sheContinue reading “#Caturday Archives: 46”

It’s #Caturday Saturday again and here’s another cat sketch from my sketchbook archives, January 2016. Sparta Puss looks like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth! Don’t be fooled. This is a quick sketch with Faber Castell Pitt drawing pens. I have three linocut prints in the Miniprint Cymru Wales exhibition in Mostyn in Llandudno, North Wales, openContinue reading “#Caturday Archive: 45”

It’s #Caturday Saturday again and here’s another cat sketch from my sketchbook archives, December 2015. It’s “Puss’n’Boot“, or Sparta Puss and my walking boot, with my foot in it. I was chilling with my feet up and Sparta Puss snuck in and made herself comfy so I scribbled her. I have three linocut prints inContinue reading “#Caturday Archive: 44”

It’s #Caturday Saturday once again. Looking through my old sketchbooks, I did quite a few scribbles of Sparta Puss back in November 2015. I used to have a very comfy IKEA Poang chair, but it was Sparta’s favourite chair as well. Here she is, keeping me off it!

It’s #Caturday Saturday again and back in November 2015 I printed up some plywood that I had carved with some stylised images of my cat, Sparta Puss, climbing a net curtain. She threw some great shapes. I based the woodcut on sketches I had made.

Here’s a cat sketch from November 2015 of Sparta Puss looking very cross. Nothing new there. She still looks cross. I used a ballpoint pen into a lined notebook. I’ll be running a weekend linocut course based on Dewi Bowen and Olwyn Pritchard’s book, “Hunting The Wild Megalith” on February 28th and March 1st atContinue reading “#Caturday Archives: 39”

Here’s another cat sketch from April 2015. It’s Sparta Puss, using a Faber Castell Pitt drawing pen into a small A6 bound sketchbook, taking it across the two pages. It’s one of my favourite sketches of her, it’s lively and dynamic. I’ll be running a weekend course based on Dewi Bowen and Olwyn Pritchard’s book,Continue reading “#Caturday Archives: 38”

It’s #Caturday Saturday again and here are some sketchbook scribbles from April 2015, when Sparta Puss was a sprightly 6 year-old.
