This year is the 25th anniversary of the opening of Swansea Print Workshop, where I spend many happy hours drawing and making prints, usually linocuts or woodcuts but also sometimes etchings and screenprints. It’s a great facility for artists across South Wales and it’s entirely run by the members who are the artists who useContinue reading “A Silver Anniversary”

Some Historic Masking…
This is from my archives, March 2014 and Husb and I were invited to a party where people were asked to wear masks representing an artist or art work. I bought some cheap masks from the kids’ section in a supermarket and got to work with some acrylic paints. Husb did his with felt-tip pens.Continue reading “Some Historic Masking…”
Picnic On The Beach
It was a picnic on the beach a few weeks ago, snatched when we had no idea how long this heatwave was going to last, making the most of it, sandy sandwiches and all.
Joio! Enjoy!
Husb and I went to the Amplitude music festival in Swansea this evening, a free event put on by Swansea Council as part of it’s “Joio! Enjoy!” summer programme. Working so quickly forces me to focus on the important features in front of me and not get distracted by detail. It’s good practice, like a singerContinue reading “Doing My Scales…”
Can’t Stop Drawing Them…
…Big Boots!
I Like Big Boots…
…and I cannot lie! There seems to be a trend for enormous boots at the moment, I’m noticing it as I draw heavy metal legs at local gigs.
Drawing In The Dark
Out gallivanting at a gig again on Saturday night, having a scribble as ever. It was very dark and this bloke was all in black with long black hair and this is what I ended up with.
