A Grand Day Out

Hot Hot Hot! Apparently a record-breaking temperature today. Husb and I took an elderly relative to visit the beautiful Dynefor estate near Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire. It has great walks; a magnificent 17th century house, remodelled by The Victorians; a deer park; very rare white cattle; beautiful Picturesque scenery; a medieval castle; magnificent trees, up to 700 years old; a tea room serving bara brith; a Ha-ha and a shop. A grand day out.

(I had a scribble. Well I would, wouldn’t I?)

Hot? Send some here! Though I shouldn’t complain. We wouldn’t think it cold at all if we encountered the same temperatures in fall or winter. But it feels a bit chilly for May. Tempted to turn the heat back on, but we’ve resisted …. we just don our sweaters and frown about it.

Fabulous drawing, so fill with character.

Last week we were sitting on the settee in jumpers, fingerless mittens and blankets over our laps!!!! Coldest Spring for many years. It’s lovely now 😀

What beautiful white cattle . I think that 2 days of sunshine is about all of us can cope with – people go a bit crazy in Swansea. The beach in Swansea looked like it was covered in hundreds and thousands! Incredible.

They’re gorgeous. Sun gone now though. Probably for the best lol 😀

Trouble is, we’re both gingers, practically nightwalkers, so 2 days of sunshine is about all we can cope with 😁
