Heat Exhaustion

Sparta Puss looks the way I feel. It’s an unusually hot spell of weather and the heat is getting to us, cats, dogs, hairless apes and all. Sparta Puss has the right idea – crash out somewhere quiet until the cool night arrives. She can’t escape being scribbled though.

Drawn with a ballpoint pen into my A5 size Peter Pauper Press ‘The Cat’s Meow’ journal.

Love that wiry line you get with a ball, point pen, great drawing Rosie, fab contrast between the energetic line and the not very energetic cat lol. I’m in Berlin , it’s actually cooler than the U.K. which is unusual this time of year !

Ooof yes, I remember visiting at the end of May last year and it was boiling! I love the scribblyness of ballpoint, but ithe fades so I am doing a screen printing workshop this weekend to get me back into photo screen techniques as I want to find a way of using my gazillion sketches. Have a few ideas …..

My fluffy cat is sprawled around the place like some one threw her there!
