This. This is what I’ve been waiting to do since lockdown started in March 2020. Just sit and drink a cup of coffee in the cafe in Waterstones bookshop and sketch. That’s all. No fancy holidays or anything like that. Just sit in my favourite cafe. Simple pleasures.
A Chance To Own One Of My Artworks
I have some small screenprints for sale, inspired by my drawings of the taxidermy collection at Swansea Museum. I have given these antique artifacts a modern twist by combining them with images of rubbish – old fruit nets, bubble wrap and plastic – highlighting the problem of human pollution and how it affects wildlife.

To buy my work on the Swansea Print Workshop site please click the image to the left and to see the complete image.
20 percent of the cost of each screenprint sold goes to support Swansea Print Workshop, which receives no public funding.
Yesterday the SO and I took a 1.5 mile walk to our favorite pie shop which we had not been to in 1.5 years. We had not been there because we didn’t want take-out. We wanted to sit down and enjoy our coffee and pie or quiche or scones (all are offered) and just chat and watch people go by. It was a perfect day to do so. Heavenly, actually…I had a big slice of coconut cream pie, the best ever. The SO had a huge slice of fried spicy vegetable quiche.
Wonderful, that’s so lovely. Coconut cream pie? That’s a new one to me …..
Must be an American thing. I remember my grandmother making it, but not quite as good as this one.
mmmmmm coconuts, cream and pie mmmmmm
Yes. This!
Was out for a coffee with the Husband for the first time in aaaages recently. Felt so good! 🙂
Isn’t it?! The best! Funny how so many of us have discovered that the simplest things matter so much 😀
