And another pair of legs from Heavy Metal night last weekend. Loved listening to the music, loved drawing people’s legs and shoes.

Metal Legs: 2.
More legs from the heavy metal gig at Elysium the other evening, with Suns of Thunder. It’s not the easiest to draw in the middle of a crowd, but it gave me some great foreshortening to work with. I used the continuous line drawing method to get the positioning and proportions right.
Metal Legs: 1.
Husb and I went out to see a heavy metal band the other evening, locals Suns Of Thunder at Elysium. Fantastic – very loud, very dancy – I had to have a scribble! I had my tiny leather-bound sketchbook with me and it’s too small for a lot of detail so, what to draw? IContinue reading “Metal Legs: 1.”
Cafe, Coffee, Scribble…
Popped into my favourite cafe, Waterstones in Swansea, earlier for a coffee and of course, I had to have a scribble. Just a quick one.
Quick Conference Sketch: 3.
Here’s another quick sketch I did at the conference I went to last week. It was quite a relaxed event and this guy across the room was very laid back in his chair. I used a Faber Castell Pitt drawing pen (Sepia, size S) into my small leatherbound sketchbook.
Quick Conference Sketch: 2
I was at a conference over last weekend. It was a good one, not one of the boring, meaningless jollies I remember from my younger working days. Skinny Legs And Balloons.
Husb and I went to a friend’s birthday recently and there were lots of kids running around having a great time with balloons. No fancy gadgets or electronics or expensive toys, just ordinary balloons. This little one has such skinny legs, like a bambi.
Balloons!
Went to a birthday party over the weekend and scribbled some kids playing with balloons. No X Boxes, no smart phones, no expensive toys. Just some balloons. What joy. They move fast, kids do, so it was good practice to sketch them.
Hanging In The Hangar.
I drew these characters the other night, when Husb and I went to Hangar 18 at the weekend to see an alien band called Henge. I like sketching in public, drawing people in their wild state 😀
