Husb and I checked out a few events at Swansea Fringe last weekend and went to the Waterfront Museum for some readings by two authors who write about ghostly matters, Owen Thomas and Mark Rees. There was also a spooky appearance by the ghostly Lotus Sisters belly dancing troupe. Of course, I had to haveContinue reading “Ghoulies, Ghosties And Bellies”

Just a quickie
Just a quickie from the theatre the other evening – sketching someone in the audience …
Moving….
Time flies. It’s been a month since I started my residency at elysium studios, part of the ‘Now The Hero / Nawr Yr Arwr’ arts festival. And now my time is nearly up and I’ll be moving out this weekend. Aaaawwww 😦 But I’ll be moving across the road and starting a month-long residency, partContinue reading “Moving….”
Saying Grace
A couple more quick sketches done at the theatre last night, the Miner’s Theatre in Ammanford where the artist Fern Smith hosted a fascinating event, “Saying Grace“. I took the opportunity to have a quick scribble……
A Face At The Theatre
Went to an event at the theatre this evening and did a bit of scribbling of faces in the audience, but I’m late getting back and I’m really tired, so good night 🙂
Notes And Scribbles

Potter and Tongwynlais’ own Unity. So of courseContinue reading “It’s What I Do”
The Finale: Sand And Monks

After three years of planning, around eighteen months of developing, and the best part of a year of delivering different aspects of the festival – the film of me and my model; the Graft garden; theContinue reading “The Finale: Sand And Monks”
Boys Dying Slowly
Some more sketches from the extraordinary performance, “Now The Hero / Nawr Yr Arwr” at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall last weekend. A new requiem was commissioned by auteur Marc Rees, performed by the choir Polyphony, and in the red gloom of the hall, a group of young men, boys, the age of so many of thoseContinue reading “Boys Dying Slowly”
The Celtic Warrior
I took my sketchbook to the performance of ‘Nawr Yr Arwr / Now The Hero’ at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall last weekend. I did a series of speed drawings of the balletic Celtic Warrior, Joe Perou. He moved with precision which helped me to focus on scribbling the basic details of his form.
