A Short Film: Getting Messy With Charcoal.

Here’s a short film that Husb made of one of my adult teaching sessions at GS Artists in Swansea, part of the 9to90 Community Arts programme, originated and organised by the artist Jane Simpson. It’s a 2 hour session edited down to under 2 minutes.

Another Quickie From The Folk Club.

Another little sketch from the Riverside Folk Club last week. I used ink drawing pens and I made a mistake drawing his hand so I filled in his jumper with Nitram charcoal to cover it up. Cheating or creative license? 😀

More From The Folk Club.

Husb sings in a local community choir, Aderyn Du Brynmill Blackbirds, and they gave a short performance of Medieval Christmas Carols at the Riverside Folk Club in Loughor earlier this week. I tagged along and of course, I had to have a scribble. Here are two of the performers that I caught with my drawing pens.

Husb and I went to the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery a few days ago. Of course, I had to have a scribble…..

I was at a meeting this evening, The Friends Of The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery’s Annual General Meeting, and I spotted this chap in a stripey shirt. Of course I had to have a scribble, in Faber Castell Pitt drawing pens into a smooth, cloth-bound A5 sketchbook.

A Green Man In The City.

Husb and I popped along to an event in Swansea’s City Centre on Saturday, drawing attention to the proposed Skyline development on Kilvey Hill, which is a much loved and valuable nature reserve reclaimed from industrial pollution. This Green Man turned up. He was very tall. And leafy. When I was little, the hill wasContinue reading “A Green Man In The City.”

Faces In The Audience: 1

Husb and I went to a memorial celebration for the life of a friend, Professor Jen Wilson, who recently died. There were lovely performances of jazz and blues music, which she had championed all her life and of course, I took the opportunity to have a scribble.
