Another little sketch from the Riverside Folk Club last week. I used ink drawing pens and I made a mistake drawing his hand so I filled in his jumper with Nitram charcoal to cover it up. Cheating or creative license? 😀

More From The Folk Club.
Husb sings in a local community choir, Aderyn Du Brynmill Blackbirds, and they gave a short performance of Medieval Christmas Carols at the Riverside Folk Club in Loughor earlier this week. I tagged along and of course, I had to have a scribble. Here are two of the performers that I caught with my drawing pens.
Two Techniques At The Folk Club.
Husb sings in a local community choir, Aderyn Du Brynmill Blackbirds, and they gave a short performance of Medieval Christmas Carols at the Riverside Folk Club in Loughor earlier this week. I tagged along and of course, I had to have a scribble. The duo on the left is done using the continuous line techniqueContinue reading “Two Techniques At The Folk Club.”
The Last Heads
And here are the last two heads that I drew at the Riverside Folk Club in Loughor last week. It’s right by, well, the river side. Gigs are a good opportunity for drawing as people are usually engrossed in what’s going on and keep reasonably still. Unless it’s a heavy metal gig. I’m usuallyContinue reading “The Last Heads”
A Nice Bit Of Perspective
Scribbling away at Loughor folk club the other evening, I saw this interesting arrangement of a hand in the foreground and a head in the back ground. Nice bit of perspective, I thought. So I scribbled it…..
Faces At The Folk Club
Some more scribbles from the Loughor Folk Club the other evening. Loughor is an interesting little fishing village on the estuary of the River Loughor / Afan Llwchwr.
At The Folk Club
Husb sings in a small community choir and they did a few songs at Loughor Folk Club, so I went along. Of course, I had to have a scribble. It’s held at the local yacht club which is why there are boaty things on the wall.
The Cockle Picker’s Warning
I was supposed to be going off traipsing across South Wales today, drawing ancient standing stones with Dewi the prehistorian and Melvyn the filmmaker. I woke up to rain, not unusual in these parts and then Dewi rang to say he’d been talking to a cockle picker in Loughor who said the cockle pickers weren’tContinue reading “The Cockle Picker’s Warning”
Folk Heads
Husb and I spent a pleasant couple of hours at the Riverside Folk Club in Loughor last night and it was a good opportunity for a scribble. Folk musicians tend to move around less than heavy metal bands, no headbanging, so I had a bit more time to draw them. I did a couple of quicker sketchesContinue reading “Folk Heads”
Back From The Folk Club
Just back from the Riverside Folk night at Loughor Boat Club where I had a few scribbles. This is one of them. More tomorrow, it’s late and I am off to bed now in a minute. Good night zzzzzzzzz 😪
