Husb and I had a few days away, staying with friends on the South Coast – that’s East Sussex, not Barrybados LOL 😀 Their garden was visited several times a day by two of the chubbiest foxes I’ve ever seen. Big, fluffy and ginger, I thought they were odd-looking corgis when I saw them first.Continue reading “Chubby Foxes.”

This is NOT PPE!
I’m finally getting to grips with the lino blocks of text I started back at the beginning of lockdown 2020. I’m making mask shapes out of cotton and printing them with the words and phrases I carved into lino, reflecting my feelings and observations over the period. But these are not masks. They are NOTContinue reading “This is NOT PPE!”
#StandingStoneSunday … Book of the Boar!
Hunting the Wild Megalith, a new book about Neolithic monuments in Wales by Dewi Bowen and Olwyn Pritchard with art by Rosie Scribblah
#Caturday Archives 18
It’s #Caturday Saturday again and here’s a drawing from my sketch archives, I guess about 7 or 8 years ago. I had a very comfy Ikea Poang chair at the time but Sparta Puss liked it as much as I did. Guess who won out on this particular evening? I drew into my sketchbook withContinue reading “#Caturday Archives 18”
Kitty Print Experiments.
I’m experimenting with making my own stamps from Toyobo photopolymer letterpress plates. I had a try the other week with a different make, which didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped, but this material is much better, much crisper with more detail. I tried out three exposure and three curing times and then printedContinue reading “Kitty Print Experiments.”
#StandingStoneSunday – IT’S PUBLISHED!
Hunting The Wild Megalith, a new book by Dewi Bowen, which features my artwork from the field.

It’s #Caturday Saturday again and here’s a blast from the past, Sparta Puss back in 2016. She has a range of expressions but this sulky, slightly annoyed one is a favourite of hers.
Experimenting
I’ve been experimenting with a material new to me, Toyobo photopolymer plastic plates, to make my own stamps. It seems like a fairly easy process, but of course it isn’t. My first try (above) didn’t turn out as well as I hoped, but that’s life. It might have been the exposure time or maybe IContinue reading “Experimenting”
Green Man And Wild Garlic.
Husb and I have had two very outdoors days, loads of exercise – I’m aching. Yesterday we went walking up Kilvey Hill and came across this Green Man in the forest. I’ve tweaked him in Adobe Photoshop “Posterise” filter. When I was a kid, Kilvey Hill was black and barren, ruined from 200 or soContinue reading “Green Man And Wild Garlic.”
#StandingStoneSunday 23
It’s yet another #StandingStoneSunday and here’s a drawing I made of the fabulous King’s Quoit monument in Manorbier, Pembrokeshire. It’s been overlooking the sea here for about 5,000 years. It’s a spectacular location for a truly magnificent dolmen and also a lovely place for a drive and a day out.
