Testing The Progress…

When I’m carving a lino block I like to check on it’s progress regularly. I do this by taking a rubbing with a piece of white paper and a block of graphite. Still a lot of cutting to do on this one though.

Here’s a sketch of Sparta Puss I did during the first lockdown in 2020. She got used to me being around all the time and was a bit miffed when I went back to work. Yes, she IS that chubby!

Today I Made A Cake….

A classic jam and buttercream sponge. With homemade bramble jelly (foraged locally) and real buttercream. The sponge has a hint of vanilla because I embed vanilla pods into my caster sugar jar. It will be going to Husb’s Life Drawing group tomorrow.

I love growing it. Not so keen on eating it, I like the taste but it really doesn’t like me. It is a laxative.
