Carrying On With The Cat

I carried on with my painting of Sparta Puss today, getting a bit more detail done and I put in a speech bubble. I’ve decided to go all Pop Art on her. It’s fun, like colouring in. I’m using Liquitex Heavy Body acrylic paint onto a Winsor & Newton canvas. Getting there…..

Painting The Cat For Fun

I’m not literally painting the cat. She wouldn’t stand for that. I’m doing a painting of Sparta Puss based on a digital drawing I did a while back (on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8). I’m doing it for fun. I rarely paint but I’ve been enjoying myself for the past few weeks, joining in withContinue reading “Painting The Cat For Fun”

Sparta Says ….

Sparta says, “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”. Mae Sparta yn dweud, “Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda”. This is a lovely digital drawing of the lovely Sparta Puss by my lovely Husb.   And I iced my home-made Xmas cake today.

Chonk!

I can’t keep the creative juices flowing constantly. I think most artists are the same. It isn’t a 9 to 5 job. Some days I don’t make art, but I still like to draw, even for a few minutes, to keep my hand in. That’s where the cat comes in handy, she’s always around forContinue reading “Chonk!”

Little Lulu

Here’s another family kitty…  shhhh …. don’t tell Sparta Puss! She’s a very slimline tortoiseshell cat called Lulu. I drew her on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with a free app called Markers.

Fat Is A Felinist Issue

Yo Humans. It is I, Sparta Puss. I haven’t been able to get my paws on the pooter box for ages because the bald monkeys I live with are ALWAYS hogging it. Idiots. The she-ape has had me on a diet. She says she’s fed up with people fat-shaming me on Facebook, whatever thatContinue reading “Fat Is A Felinist Issue”

The Continuous Line Kitty

I’ve been neglecting my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tablet recently. It has a free drawing app on it, one called ‘Markers’ that I really like using but haven’t done so for weeks. I’ve got a bit of a cold and I’m slobbing out on the settee and it was easier to reach for myContinue reading “The Continuous Line Kitty”

The Dog Had A Bath

The dog had a bath and now she’s running around like a maniac! Husb and I are dog-sitting while her people are on holiday. She’s a Pomerpoo – a Pomeranian / Toy Poodle cross – very small with lots of black fluffy fur. When we bathed her it stuck up all over theContinue reading “The Dog Had A Bath”

Too Much Admin…

There’s been so much admin to do the past couple of weeks that I haven’t had time to do much art, but tomorrow I have a whole day for creating. So many ideas in the pipeline…. Meanwhile, here’s a cat with a caption ….
