I’m feeling a bit better each day as the Covid19 symptoms are going and I’m getting a bit stronger, and today was the first since the illness started 10 days ago that I’ve been able to think about doing anything remotely arty. Whenever I do a painting, I scrape any leftover acrylic paint onto spareContinue reading “Scraping And Scribbling”

The other symptoms are gone now, but I’m just so tired that I can’t even work up the energy and motivation to do a quick scribble of the cat! So here’s one I did a while back, for #Caturday. A Chance To Own One OfContinue reading “Wipe Out”

A Work Of Art From The Freezer
Husb’s favourite pudding is a traditional fruit crumble. He considers a crumble to be a work of art. I’ve been rooting around in the freezer this week and found a stash of fruit in boxes hidden away. More Prepping
Photoshopping I did some more preparation today, using source photos of manhole covers around the Waun Wen area of the city (taken by Melvyn Williams). I used Adobe Photoshop and put them through some filters and turned them black and white. I added halftone dots to a few and a couple I turned into negatives.Continue reading “More Prepping”
Blwyddyn Newydd Dda : Happy New Year
Here’s Sparta Puss being very seasonal with a little fake Monet I did a while back – it’s called “The Magpie”. Sparta Puss hates magpies. They come and nest in the tree next door every year, I think it might be the same pair, I don’t know how long they live. They pick stones outContinue reading “Blwyddyn Newydd Dda : Happy New Year”
Another Fake To Finish
I started faking this painting by Henri Matisse about 4 weeks ago, with Ed Sumner’s Cheese and Wine Painting Club over on Facebook. I started doing these fakes when Ed began the sessions early in lockdown back in Spring 2020. It was easier then because it was, well, lockdown and I had a lot ofContinue reading “Another Fake To Finish”
